Ressemblant tout à fait à un ancien lieu de vie de marinier, elle se présente comme une studette en vigie avec sa petite cuisine équipée, ses placards et son importante barre d’époque… c’est à dire les années 1922 où cette péniche chargée d’histoire a été l’un des « gros numéros » fournis par l’Allemagne à la France, ancienne barge particulièrement et fortement aciérée.

La même famille étant propriétaire depuis 30 ans y a apporté beaucoup d’attention et l’a rendue extrêmement agréable, bénéficiant, de surcroît, de grandes ouvertures suffisamment basses pour jouir pleinement de la vue sur les flots, même assis.

La composition est assez classique ; outre la timonerie déjà évoquée et la salle des machines, elle comprend un séjour d’environ 40 m2 avec bar-cuisine ouverte, cellier-buanderie, chaufferie fuel, 3 chambres, salle de bains, salle de douche, toilettes. Une pièce de 15 m2 est à finir d’aménager si besoin est.

La terrasse de 30 m2 permet de vivre à l’extérieur, abrité en partie seulement pour laisser la possibilité de garder un sun-deck.

Toutes les « révisions » sont aux normes et toutes les autorisations accordées (immatriculation de plaisance, Voie Navigable de France, droit d’amarrage…)

The wheelhouse, open on all 4 sides, has kept its traditional look, making one feel like an actor in the famous French TV series « L’HOMME DU PICARDIE ». The design is quite conventional; apart from the aforementioned wheelhouse and the machine room, the houseboat comprises a sitting room of around 40 m2 with an open kitchen-bar area, pantry-utility room, oil fired boiler room, 3 bedrooms, bathroom, shower room, WC. There is another 15 m2 room which can also be fully converted if required.

The 30 m2 terrace allows the owners to live outside, being only partially covered so that part can remain as a sun-deck.

All the « alterations » conform to regulations and all required authorizations have been granted (leisure boating register, French Inland Waterways Licence, mooring rights…)
